slightly odd warehouse-kind-of-find from the west coast of usa. tracky beats, driving organ-synth-pads on the b, sometimes almost jacking and definitely a little bit wrong. this 12inch has more real taste of the underground than the regular limited edition hyped labels these days.
juan sanchez delivers his first single on the raw sounding drumcode limited with two monster sounding tracks. both tracks represent the gritty, tough side of the drumcode spectrum and deliver two peak time tracks that will finish a dancefloor off. using filtering hats, low end rumbles and outlandish beeps, juan sanchez encapsulates the sound of drumcode limited.

silkscreen artwork - hand-stamped - limited to 300 copies. after chris mitchell, xdb and walt j, parisian label unlearn is back with a various artists from european fellow producers. a versatile cut between mental lands, dubby shapes and g-funk territories that confirms the labels strive for eclecticism in electronic music the release starts off with juckis (100693 mix) (a1) by copenhagen underground posse (c.u.p) affiliated artist kasper marott, a strong and sensual track between dub and house. the ingredients are simple but effective: deep chords, groovy bassline and driving snares. jackin in paris (a2) is something else. this analog number by hyperdubs jkamata mixes the artists uber-funky roots and his taste for polished house rhythms. be sure to check his supertronic duo project as well, these danish cats definitely know how to do it.the flipside explores a more mental side of dance music starting with the refined north (b1), the kind of track you cant really put in a box. labels co-owner caseer aka raphaël cesario takes you on a trip through his elegant universe made of harmonic pads and syncopated rhythms. misi from basel ends this v/a with helios (b2), a maurizio-esque cut that will please the amateurs of proper dub.

there are two front-cover artworks on one record: one by stefan marx, one by alex solman info: back in 2012, benjamin brunn played a heartbreaking ambient liveset at the almighty golden pudel club, hamburg. his set was recorded and released as a cd on pudel produkte. as it was the perfect soundtrack for the lazy days at smallville recordstore, we all felt the urge to release this on vinyl- and during a blurry smallville night at pudel, we decided to do it. benjamin cut out two parts of 20 minutes each and here it is as a limited recordstore day 2015 item. there are 2 front covers on this fullcover sleeve- one from stefan marx and one from alex c.i.a solman, the king of pudel-related artworks and mfoc.

fresh from the release of their very first lp, here is an ultra rare repress coming from mid-nineties usa via one of the paris finest new labels, lazare hoche records. the bossman himself lazare hoche is an avid collector of rare house joints, and has a penchant for anything the truly epitomises the spirit of house music, raw, undiluted and full of funk. unlike some collectors who never reveal their secrets, lazare hoche decided to share his knowledge of those hard-to-find tracks of the past with this new release, and so acquired the license for three tracks by the cult duo nimbus quartet grouping them all together in a special vinyl-only reissue.
